Within the Device Preview on the right of Test screen, you can use device preview to test your survey. Click the Start and Next buttons to test your survey layout and flow. To make sure that you are happy with the survey, load your test survey on to your device and test it in the way that you will use it in the field. Follow the below steps to test your survey properly:

Step 1: Authenticate your Device

1. Open Data4Action app on your device
2. Select the Devices Tab
3. Enter your Device Username. This is a friendly Device Username that you choose to help you identify this device.
4. Enter your Device Password g., 695785 – Device password should be provided from Survey Builder Account
5. Select the Authenticate Device

Step 2:  Assign This Survey to Your Authenticated Device

1. Open Your Survey Builder Account
2. Select the Devices tab at the top of this screen to view the Device Management screen
3. Choose device(s) you wish to assign survey to
4. Select the Assign Survey button
5. Select Survey you want to assign from the pop-up window and click the Assign Survey

Tip: If you assign a Survey in Edit Mode to your device, Data4Action automatically switches the survey into Test Mode.

Step 3: Download the Survey to Your Device

1. Open Data4Action app on your device
2. On the Admin tab, select the Download Surveys button to download the latest version of the survey that is assigned to your device.
3. Select the Run Survey button to start using your survey and collecting data.
4. If you cannot see the Administration menu, on the survey introduction screen, hold down the Start button for 6 seconds to display the Administration Menu.

Step 4: Perform Unlimited Test Surveys on Your Device

You can perform unlimited test surveys on your device. However, in test mode you can only access up to 10 survey results.

If you need to edit your survey after testing, simply change back into Edit Mode, make your changes, and click the Save Survey button. Repeat Step 3 to download the latest survey and re-test.

You can conduct surveys and collect responses on your device offline without an Internet connection.

Step 5: Upload Your Test Results from Data4Action App’s Administration Menu

1. Open Data4Action App on your device.
2. On the Admin tab, select Upload Results Button

Tip: Uploading results requires Internet connection on device.

Step 6: Download Results from Survey Management Screen

1. Go to the Surveys Tab
2. Find the Survey you want to download result associated to
3. Find the Results Column
4. Click the Results button and click on Download Results.
5. Choose your Result Format, Date Range and Download Options
6. Click on Generate Result Download Link button
7. From File Download Popup Window, click on your survey report to download
